The Model 714/MZ-A is recommended for unwinding and rewinding where perfect core centering is needed. It is superior for higher weight, speed, and torque requirements, especially with steel cores. The body of the chuck and the expanders (leaves) are available in steel only. The chuck is available in flange or shaft extension type mounting, always custom-made. Expansion is accomplished by one (or more) air activated pistons that mechanically engage the expanders.
