Web Coating Dies

Cloeren Web Coating Dies have many advantages over traditional coating methods such as roll coating. Cloeren MasterCoatTM Dies are used in coating processes such as proximity coating, slot-die coating or contact coating. Our precision coating dies can apply pressure-sensitive adhesives and hot-melt adhesives, as well as aqueous, emulsion, solution or curtain coatings. These types of dies also use less material, have better gauge control, and can apply multi-layer and pattern coatings. Exacting tolerances of up to 75 nanometers are available to complement the application and process specifications.


The Cloeren MastercoatTM family includes:

  • The MastercoatTM I adjustable lip slot coating die for hot-melt and pressure-sensitive adhesives
  • The MastercoatTM II fixed slot coating die for solvent and water-based coatings
  • The patented MastercoatTM III Die system, which allows for adjustment of the mass flow distribution across the die width without changing the lip exit orifice

MastercoatTM Dies are available in single and multi-manifold configurations.
